The person that inspires me the most is my mother, Laraine. She has inspired me to try my best and work hard in everything I do. She is also very supportive and is very caring. From her, I have learned that I should take responsibility for my actions. She also has taught me to always be positive and be happy.

My mother has inspired me to work hard in every thing I do. She has taught me this because she believes that if you achieve your goals, you could be motivated to keep going, set more goals, and achieve those also. I have learned that if you work hard, you will be successful in life in whatever you choose. My mother has lived in the Philippines until she was 17 years old. I learned that she had to work hard in school and also work to earn money in order to help her family survive. They weren’t the richest families so they all had to work together. She studies hard and tackled working on a farm everyday when there were also many chores to do around the house. Her family managed to get to the U.S and started their lives in a new place. She had to work hard to become a nurse and that is why she lets me know that I should be thankful for what I have and to work hard even if I don’t have to work as hard as she did.

I think that my mother is very supportive and caring. She cheers me up when I’m feeling down and helps me when I have problems. I tell her a lot of things and one of the many things that I tell her is when I have tests. Many people know that when it comes to tests, I will always worry and study my hardest to the point where once I start the test, I blank out and I can’t remember anything. That hasn’t happened lately with the help of my mom! She is always there to quiz me and help me study. She teaches me what the teacher hasn’t told us. My mother is always supportive in whatever I choose to do and encourages me to do my best.

She has also taught me to be responsible. It is what is expected of me and I try really hard to show everyone. I do my homework everyday and get what needs to be done on time. I write things down on a calendar so that I don’t forget anything and I try to stay organized.

I was always told that I should be happy and think positive. It's important to feel good in life and think of the good side in bad situations. My mother is always there to reassure me and let me know that I will be okay and that she is there for me. She believes that you can do better and be more successful when you're doing something that enjoy and are happy with.
