The person that inspires me the most is my mother, Laraine. She has inspired me to try my best and work hard in everything I do. She is also very supportive and is very caring. From her, I have learned that I should take responsibility for my actions. She also has taught me to always be positive and be happy.
My mother has inspired me to work hard in every thing I do. She has taught me this because she believes that if you achieve your goals, you could be motivated to keep going, set more goals, and achieve those also. I have learned that if you work hard, you will be successful in life in whatever you choose. My mother has lived in the Philippines until she was 17 years old. I learned that she had to work hard in school and also work to earn money in order to help her family survive. They weren’t the richest families so they all had to work together. She studies hard and tackled working on a farm everyday when there were also many chores to do around the house. Her family managed to get to the U.S and started their lives in a new place. She had to work hard to become a nurse and that is why she lets me know that I should be thankful for what I have and to work hard even if I don’t have to work as hard as she did.
I think that my mother is very supportive and caring. She cheers me up when I’m feeling down and helps me when I have problems. I tell her a lot of things and one of the many things that I tell her is when I have tests. Many people know that when it comes to tests, I will always worry and study my hardest to the point where once I start the test, I blank out and I can’t remember anything. That hasn’t happened lately with the help of my mom! She is always there to quiz me and help me study. She teaches me what the teacher hasn’t told us. My mother is always supportive in whatever I choose to do and encourages me to do my best.
She has also taught me to be responsible. It is what is expected of me and I try really hard to show everyone. I do my homework everyday and get what needs to be done on time. I write things down on a calendar so that I don’t forget anything and I try to stay organized.
I was always told that I should be happy and think positive. It's important to feel good in life and think of the good side in bad situations. My mother is always there to reassure me and let me know that I will be okay and that she is there for me. She believes that you can do better and be more successful when you're doing something that enjoy and are happy with.

January Book Report Summary: Breaking Dawn
The book that I read for the month of January is called Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. I chose to read this book because I read the other three from the Twilight Sage and I enjoyed them very much. At first, when the Twilight books got really popular, I didn’t really see what everyone was so excited about. They were books about vampires. It didn’t really appeal to me at first. In September, when I read Twilight for the first time, it completely changed how I felt about it. I always hear people say, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” I judged a book by its cover, but I decided to give it a chance, and I was proved wrong. I love the books. The story was adorable. I made me laugh and it made me ALMOST cry. I can’t say that I connected or related to the book at all but it kept me reading. I wanted to know what happened next. I read a couple of chapters every night but I seemed to always go farther and read more than what my goal was. It was simply entertaining for me to read and it was really easy to read too.
I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a good romance novel because it shows the love that Bella and Edward have for each other. It shows what love can do, how far someone would go for love, and what people would do just for love.
I would also recommend this book to anyone that loves fiction because in the book, vampires, werewolves, and shape-shifters exist. In real life of course, they do not. The myths that they talk about are also kind of interesting.

January Book Report: Breaking Dawn
The book that I read for my book report is called Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. It is actually the fourth and the last book of the Twilight Sage. The book comes from two different perspectives. It is broken up into three separate parts where it comes from Bella’s point of view to the second part that comes from Jacob’s point of view and for the third part, it goes back to Bella again. I enjoyed reading through Jacob’s thoughts because they were quite humorous and made me laugh.
The book starts where Alice (Edwards sister and Bella’s almost sister -in-law) starts planning their wedding. The wedding day comes and it’s dazzling. Alice does a great job with the decorations and the invites. She even invites the wolves from La Push to come. After the wedding, Edward takes Bella to a private island called Isle Esme which is off the coast of Brazil for their honeymoon. The island was a gift from Carlisle to Esme and she let them stay there for the special occasion. They stay for a few weeks and Bella realizes that she isn’t feeling well. She thinks about it for a while and sees that her symptoms are similar to the early stages of pregnancy. She talks to Edward about it and then they soon receive a phone call from Alice. She must’ve seen it in a vision because that was the reason why she called. Bella tells Carlisle everything and he confirms it. She also notices that the baby is growing at a very fast pace, so they immediately board a plane and fly back to Forks, Washington. Carlisle and Edward think that it is very risky to let Bella go through with having the baby because it could kill her. Bella feels like she has some sort of a connection with the baby so she objects to an abortion and she gets Rosalie on her side to support her with the decision also.
The next part of the book comes from Jacob’s point of view. The Quileute pack from La Push find out that Bella is pregnant and is carrying something that may be a great danger inside of her. The pack plans to get rid of the baby, which means that they would have to kill Bella along with it. Jacob has known Bella for a very long time and he has feelings for her. Of course, he protests against their plans so he leaves the pack and goes off on his own. Seth Clearwater follows Jacob because he also disagrees with what the other wolves are planning. Then, Leah Clearwater joins Jacob’s pack also because she wants to look after her younger brother, Seth. Jacob’s pack team up with the Cullen family to protect Bella because they decide to go through with the pregnancy since Bella refuses an abortion. They soon find out that when Bella drinks blood, she can actually keep it down unlike everything that she had eaten of drank. When she drinks blood, she feels and looks better. She even likes the taste of the blood even though she is still human. She soon gives birth to a baby, Reneesme, but she loses a lot of blood and is on the verge of dying. Edward injects vampire venom into her heart. She goes through a lot of pain as she has once experienced for a little bit in the first book, Twilight. They moment that Jacob lays his eyes on Reneesme, he “imprints,” which is how wolves find their true love or soul mate. He spends a lot of time with her and protects her.
The last section of the book comes from Bella’s perspective. She goes through all of the pain from the vampire venom and when it finally goes away. She feels better than ever. Her eyesight is so much better than it used to be. She discovers that she isn’t how everyone expected her to be. She knew how to control herself. She seemed as if she had been a vampire for years instead of being a newborn. She loves her new transformation. At first, she isn’t trusted to be alone with her daughter but she amazes everyone with her will-power and self control. She takes Reneesme and Jacob on her first when Irina, one of the other vampires a close friend of Carlisle’s sees Reneesme and automatically thinks that they have turned a child into a vampire. Vampire children are uncontrollable when created, so the Volturi (the most powerful vampire coven that has lived for over three thousand years and are considered royalty and act as police) have made it a law that it is illegal to create vampire children. She tells on the Cullens to Volturi because she is still avenging the death of Laurent. (This happened in New Moon, the second book when Jacob and the other wolves from the pack attack and kill Laurent in his attempt to kill Bella in the meadow.) The Cullens find out thanks to Alice and her gift of seeing the future and they try to survive by getting all of their vampire friends to be witnesses to prove that Reneesme isn’t a danger or threat and isn’t a vampire child. The Cullens race against time. They travel around the world in order to have a chance to survive what is coming at them. It’s a life or death situation, and they surely don’t want to die. For those who have not read the book yet, you need to read to find out what happens!

October book report #2
I think if I were to rate this book from a one to ten, I would choose a nine. This book was really easy to read. (for me meaning that it was interesting and the big words would be explained in humorous definitions.) I would choose this rating because it was good but I don’t think that it deserved a ten. The book was really good, I have to say, but when you finish the book, you are left with a lot of questions. It doesn’t quite answer all of your questions which kind of, keeps you thinking. I suppose that it’s a good and a bad thing because on the good side, it makes you want to read the series. It also makes it more interesting. On the bad side, other people (like me) would probably get tired of it if the rest of the series are like this.
I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to read about adventures and how young children have to deal with bad luck, bad news, and misfortune throughout the book. This book was probably written for younger readers to enjoy because it doesn’t include much violence or naughty words at all. The writing style over all seems to be more of how a younger child would think or write which also lets readers feel like this book is for them. They can relate to the children easier when they understand exactly how they fell which is probably because the author has such great descriptions.

October book report #1
The Book that I am reading for this month is called The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket. Honestly, I have enjoyed reading this book because the conflicts that the orphans have to overcome are really interesting and humorous, which is what I like. Their personalities also made it all the more better. This book is pretty depressing considering that they aren’t treated any better than dirt. In this book, the Baudelaire children’s parents perish in a tragic fire. They are then forced to be adopted by the horrible Count Olaf. Right when the children move into Count Olaf’s filthy home, they could already tell that he was a nasty and evil man.
There are a couple of main characters in this book. They are Violet, the eldest and the child that is very interested and knows a lot about inventing. Another main character is Klaus, he is the middle child and he loves to read. He retains everything that he reads which makes it easier for them to come up with ideas to escape the situation that they are in. The last main character is Sunny. She is the infant of the family and she seems to understand what everyone else is saying but doesn’t know how to talk. She also loves to bite on things. I do not really think that that I am anything similar to the characters because they have different interests that I do. They like to read about marriage laws and pulleys for fun when I would rather play outside.I do not think that the Baudelaire children and I are alike because of the fact that I'm am not as brave or as smart as they are.
In the book, Count Olaf becomes their guardian or father as he puts it. He knows that the Baudelaire's parents have left a lot of money for the children and they have written in their will that they would like to have their children adopted by family, no matter how far away they are in the family tree. Count Olaf tries to trick them into participating in a play that he wrote about a marvelous marriage. He would play the groom and Violet would play the bride. Their neighbor, Justice Strauss would play the judge because she is a real judge that could make the play more realistic. He tried to trick them to play the parts without letting them know that it was a real marriage, so that he could marry Violet and he could have all the control over the Baudelaire fortune. If I were in their situation, I would not have thought of anything to get myself or others out of it. I probably would have gotten onto the floor and lay in the fetal position crying my eyes out if I found out that I would be forced to marry an old man and have to give him their fortune.. Since Count Olaf was Violet's guardian, he has given her permission to marry because she was underaged. It was very simple to get married there. All you needed was a signature from both the bride and groom, a judge, and witnesses which were the people that came to watch the play. The way they got out of the marriage and the possibility of living with the evil Count Olaf for the rest of their lives was to fake the signature. Justice Strauss has told the children that in order for the marriage to be valid, the signatures have to be in their hand when they were trying to find out about marriage laws and rights.. Violet is right handed so she signs the contract with her left thus saving her siblings and their fortune from Count Olaf. Then they get taken away from the Count and stay with their social worker to make arrangements for their next adoption by another relative. I think that I could have thought of something as simple as that but I would probably be too scared to think!

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry: Recommendation
The book that I read for the months of September and October is called Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor. Honestly, I have to say that I have enjoyed reading Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. It shows people of all ages how life used to be. It was part of our history. Mildred D. Taylor wrote in a way that made me want to keep reading to see what happens next. It's definitely not of those books that you hate reading. It's full of adventure and humor, buts it's also serious. It was written in a way that was easy to understand. You can experience and picture in your mind exactly what happens in the book. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to read historical fiction. Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry was written about experiences that Mildred's father went through. I think that's pretty cool. It's nice to have a book written about you and your childhood. It's there for all to read and enjoy and that way you won't forget about it.
This book is pretty humorous in some parts. They use a lot of slang when they talk, so its a little different than what I'm used to reading. I know that the sequels to this book exist, so I think that I will read them also. If this book was good, I have no doubt that the next one will be good too.
I would recommend Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry to anyone that enjoys reading books about adventure. I would recommend this book because the Logan kids get into a lot of trouble but they always manage to overcome the obstacles. I would also recommend this book to anyone that is interested in racial issues and what other people that went through it thought about it. You can read about how they felt and hear about the experiences that have affected their lives the most. This book has a great story plot. Everyone of all ages should read this book.
